Matt became the lead pastor of CrossPointe in November 2008.  He and Rebecca have been married for twenty-eight years and they have three children and one grandchild.  Their oldest daughter, Jordan, is married and lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband, Joel and their daughter, Reagan.  Evan is a student at Cedarville University, and Meagan works full-time and is very active at CrossPointe.  Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Spurgeon College  as well as a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He is currently enrolled at the Master's Seminary and hopes to complete his doctoral work in three years.
