Baptism: Why Does It Matter?

Focusing on the story of Hans Hut—a radical reformer and Anabaptist—we unpack the tensions between emerging Protestant convictions and traditional church practices, especially around the doctrine of baptism.

Through storytelling, historical insight, and biblical reflection, we examine how the early Anabaptists challenged both the Roman Catholic Church and the Magisterial Reformers by insisting on believer’s baptism. This session highlights the courage it took to stand for biblical convictions in the face of persecution and invites us to consider what it means to live faithfully in our own time.
