The Joy of Knowing God

Christmas is often celebrated as the most joyous time of the year, yet many find it challenging to experience that joy due to the stress and busyness of the season. True joy, however, is found in knowing God deeply, as illustrated by Mary in the Bible. Despite facing significant challenges, Mary was filled with joy because she focused on God's greatness, worthiness, and promises. Her song of praise, The Magnificat, reveals three key assurances that bring joy: recognizing God's personal concern, acknowledging His power, and remembering His promises. By following Mary's example and shifting our focus from our circumstances to God's faithfulness, we can find a profound and lasting joy that transcends any situation.
