Reason to Trust

Jul 13, 2025    Pastor Seth Drayer

Abraham's willingness to sacrifice Isaac wasn't blind faith but trust built on years of experiencing God's faithfulness. Despite the difficult command, Abraham believed God would keep His promise that Isaac would have descendants—even if it required resurrection. Abraham had learned through waiting 25 years for Isaac's birth that nothing could thwart God's plans. Today, we have even greater reasons to trust God: we've witnessed Christ's resurrection and received promises of salvation. When life's path seems unclear, we can remember that God has proven His faithfulness and love through the cross, giving us solid ground for trust.
